On a recent early morning observation, a pair of bird enthusiasts took to the Ambassador View Deck in Tublay, Benguet, and spotted a diverse range of bird species. The observation, which lasted for seven minutes, involved two participants who employed a stationary protocol.

Their visit, on August 25th this year, started with an unidentified swiftlet, two of which were seen in the area. The birders were, however, able to identify Asian House-Martins, ten of which were counted during the observation period. Characterized by their bright white rump and light underside, these birds were distinguished from swifts by their broader wings.

The observers also caught sight of an Eurasian Tree Sparrow, a single individual that added to the day's tally.
