Winter Bird Sightings in Pangasinan
A solo birdwatcher spent a few minutes observing the avifauna near Sta. Maria Road in Pangasinan on January 29. According to the observation data, participant JW Mills identified five bird species during their 20-minute visit.
During this brief excursion, JW Mills spotted several species:
* Gray-rumped Swiftlet was seen twice in the area, an agile bird known for its swift flight.
* A trio of Eastern Cattle-Egret can be seen foraging in this locale, suggesting a potential food source in the surrounding area.
* Two Yellow-vented Bulbuls, a common songbird native to the Philippines, appear to be present in the nearby habitat.
* A flock of three Scaly-breasted Munias foraged for seeds on this day.
* And, a lone Eurasian Tree Sparrow added to the list of species observed, a species often found in urban environments.
The birds observed on this day indicate a diverse range of habitats and ecosystems in the area. Birdwatchers may find this location worth a closer look for further species observations.
