A team of bird enthusiasts spent a thrilling 3 minutes observing the avian scene in Rizalville, San Pablo City, Laguna, on January 9, 2025. The observers, a lone individual, submitted their findings from a stationary location. This morning's birding trip yielded an impressive 7 species, showcasing the diversity of birdlife in the area.

The team's first sighting was the Rock Pigeon (Feral Pigeon), with 8 birds spotted roaming the area. These familiar birds were soon joined by a lone Philippine Pied-Fantail, its distinctive tail a striking feature.

Other notable species included the Philippine Jungle Crow, a common sight in the region, as well as the Yellow-vented Bulbul, which flitted about in pairs. The observers also spotted a Pygmy Flowerpecker, a small but vibrant bird known for its bright plumage.

A duo of Garden Sunbirds added their bright colors to the scene, while a flock of 5 Eurasian Tree Sparrows completed the day's birding haul. It was an exciting and relaxing experience for the participants, who took in the morning's sights and sounds in just a short period of time.
